Pam,

It was great to sit and chat with you at SxSW. Any chance you would consider coming to Columbus, OH as part of your tour? I wish you all the success!!!

Hi Pam! Are you planning on coming to Malaysia anytime by any chance?

Hi Dinesh!

Boy would I love to! It is not in the cards right now, but I will let you know if it is likely next year.

All the best,

-Pam

Hi Pam – Congratulations on the book! It’s fantastic!!! Would you consider coming to Louisville, KY or Cincinnati Ohio? Good luck and I hope you get close so I can come visit! Whitney

Pamela –

Nothing I enjoy as much as clicking “SUBMIT” under a picture of a strong, independent woman! Hoping I get a chance to see you in Charlotte…

Pam, you’re going to NYC and then DC…do you know that Philly is still between these two? At least to a whistle stop at 30th St station so I can say hi! :)

Philly is looking up as a contender! And my brother lives in Pittsburgh, so PA is always high on the list. :)

Come to DC! We’ll show you a good time and get a good crowd together for you. :)

WhooHoo you’re coming to Portland! Hmmm…you do know that Cannon Beach is just a mere 75 miles away, yes? I’m thinking you might need a little beach r & r after your gig in the City of Roses. (:

Anything in the works for Los Angeles, CA?

LA sounds great and feasible Walter — just a short plane ride away!

I will work on it and let you know.

Thanks,

How bout a stop in Atlanta? You’re neglecting your fans in the SouthEast (Charlotte doesn’t count ;)

Reply

Ken Kesslin May 13, 2009 at 11:10 am

I’ll second the vote for “come to Philadelphia” between your stops in NYC and DC. Philly is a great people town with a wonderful food scene, amazing historical feel, and a thriving music, art, and theatre scene. People here would love you and your book!

Jim May 13, 2009 at 7:36 pm

Asheville, NC isn’t that far from Charlotte, and you’ll enjoy visiting. Gotta be self-employed here!

Third vote for Philadelphia!

While I can certainly echo Patti’s sentiments (living here at the base of Pikes Peak), I think Denver and it’s famed Tattered Cover (independent still thriving!) would be a fabulous pit stop for you! Let me know if you would like a chauffeur!

No Minneapolis on the schedule… we must not be big enough?

Minneapolis is awesome. I spent a semester there in college.

For me, the main variables are limiting trips so I am not gone every week, since I have little ones at home.

But my good buddy Owen Sartori, a MN musician who wrote “Beautiful Day in the Cube” lives there, so maybe we could do a joint thing. :)

How about coming to Montreal, Quebec, Canada?

Montreal would be wonderful. I would even have to dust off my very rusty French. :)

I will let you know plans, although most likely it would be Spring 2010.

Thanks!!

Pam, you can’t come to Charlotte and not take advantage of dropping down to Florida for a visit! Beautiful beaches, theme parks, wildlife…

Hope you can make it!

Ted

I love Florida, maybe I could do that in the fall!

+1 for Atlanta!

Reply

Is Dallas possibly in the cards at some point? There are a lot of people here that are interested in escaping their cubicles – myself being one of them!

Reply

Gina May 17, 2009 at 2:04 pm

Atlanta, Ga. needs you. Might as well stop in before or after you go to N. Carolina

Reply

Jay May 17, 2009 at 2:58 pm

Here’s a second vote for Minneapolis – or somewhere in northern Iowa! I have just a bunch of friends who freelance – I myself have just gone solo, escaping the corporate ridiculousness and am now painting and writing as a full time thing. It’s wonderful, and with the support of my self motivated friends it is bound to drive our family much further than the position I held before.

So, if you want to do a “joint” thing with your musician friend, that would be something I know quite a few people would be interested in coming to hear!

I’m in Fort Collins and would love to see you in Ft Collins, Denver or Colorado Springs. Any chance?

Reply

Denver. Tattered Covered bookstore has 2 very large stores in Denver and Highlands Ranch and would probably welcome you and promote you. Good on you for what you are doing! Awesome!!!!

jess loughran May 18, 2009 at 9:36 am

How about Dallas y’all! The south needs a little love and is missing from this list!

Reply

tms ruge May 18, 2009 at 7:17 pm

I agree with Jess, where’s the love for Dallas? D/FW NEEDS Pam Slim like a CEO to a golden parachute!

Also, Pam, we have a major airport that would be a great hub to heading out to all your tour cities! Come on down!

Can’t wait til Charlotte! :)

Reply

I’m voting for Los Angeles, too.

San Diego is a 2-3 hour drive, so I was hoping for something in my own neck of the woods.

Hi Pam,

I’m so EXCITED about your tour!! I have to add a vote for Atlanta. However if we don’t make the schedule I will gladly drive to Charlotte. The 3 1/2 hr. drive will be well worth it…

How about Houston Pam? We’d love to have you!

Cathy May 22, 2009 at 3:37 pm

Another vote for the D/FW area… it could be a great stop on the way to Atlanta and your BFF!

P.S. Am reading your book now and enjoying it. Just made an (in)voluntary escape from Cubicle Nation on Wednesday morning, ushered out the door w/ 4 weeks severance and a week of vacation.

Ouch Cathy, I am so sorry to hear that! The best of luck to you, that must have been a shock. I hope the book helps!

Another vote for Asheville, NC, or Atlanta, GA (I could drive to either one). You would really enjoy Asheville, but it’s small.

Reply

Clara May 24, 2009 at 6:44 pm

Consider Asheville, NC, a 20-minute airplane ride or 2 1/2 hour drive from Charlotte. A very entrepreneurial town with a great independent bookstore (Malaprop’s) downtown.

What does a BFF have to do to get some love?

You have 3 options or I will begin to show pictures of you in college to all of your bloggers.

1. Atlanta
2. Asheville, NC– where Ihope to move AFTER I leave GA
3. Charlotte

Your book is fabulous and I am not just saying that because I love you.

I am going to move forward with Atlanta right away – I will keep you updated! :)

Hi Pam, if you cannot make it to the geographical centre of Canada (East of Winnipeg, North of North Dakota) I will happily visit Minneapolis or a Canadian city instead. However if you come to Winnipeg I will promise to feed you well. We have GREAT FOOD. Do you like perogies? My mom, and my mother-in-law will cook for you. I’m too busy escaping cubicle and culinary nation.
