I had a stimulating conversation yesterday with my business partner Charlie Gilkey about the seasons of business. Have you noticed that since the first part of Spring, there has been a huge uptick in offers, programs and product launches? That is not a coincidence, since Q2 is a time when the market is very open to buying.
I have been busy in my own bee hive, producing three products: Ethical Selling That Works, The Escape from Cubicle Nation Community and Partnership, activate! This was a very conscious strategy, egged on by my December conversation over coffee with Chris Guillebeau, who urged me to build up my online product inventory (thanks Chris!).
I recorded a few thoughts about the seasons of business in a 5-minute video below.
If you would like to hear the hour-long conversation on this topic with me and Charlie, you can download it here
(In case you are interested, we offer a free teleclass every month on topics which support our bi-annual Lift Off Retreat, sign up is here.)
His Cash Flow, Visibility and Opportunity post I referenced in the video (and on the call) is here.
Don’t forget to take a few minutes at the end of this week, or at the beginning of the next, to think about what is coming at you next season, and how you can be prepared.
Have a great weekend everyone!

I am headed to a picnic in the park with Adam Baker from Man vs. Debt, something you can ONLY do in Arizona in the Spring. Summer picnics can only be 5 minutes long #itsadryheatbutitisveryhot

Well I think more than focus, the aim and goal is important to achieve what is wanted.
Very true – never thought about it before, but definitely there are seasons to business! And each season has its own challenges and opportunities. Something to explore, for sure.
Hi Pam
I think this post sums up one of my issues…figuring out where to spend the time and effort that will result in the biggest bang for your buck.
