		<description>Welcome back Pam! We missed you and your wisdom. I loved the diagram - and Andy P&#039;s comment about saving $50K on his kids education!

But the thing you said that resonated most with me was this: &quot;You DO NOT have to create a multi-million dollar business to consider yourself a successful entrepreneur.&quot;

I always wonder about the societal pressure to grow, grow, grow. Growing your business in the traditonal way (1 person business to 50 person business to world domination) is great for some, but growth does not just mean added contracts, added employees, added pressure. As you are no doubt aware, growth can be personal or spiritual growth achieved by how you manage your business, treat your customers, and how you deliver your products and services.

Not everything is about how big and how much. Achieving a balanced life is my measure of success.

		<description>Welcome back, Pam. It&#039;s good to see you posting again. I&#039;m sorry to hear about your current struggles, but it sounds like you have the right perspective and focus. Thanks for sharing your insights, because we will all face some challenges at one point or another, and we can learn from your experience.

When we first got married, I had three good theories about marriage and kids; now I have three kids and no theories. Reality -- and yes, Wal-Mart -- have replaced them.

		<description>Welcome back Pam. You&#039;ve been missed.

Like John Lennon said  &quot;Life is what happens to you while you&#039;re busy making other plans.&quot;

Guess it&#039;s just as appropriate to substitute the word &quot;business&quot; for &quot;life&quot;!

Despite the chaos, sounds like you and your husband both did a lot of things right!

And you&#039;ve got my sympathy - you&#039;ve well-earned a snuggle with that baby!

		<description>Heh. Do I know you well enough to call you Soul Sistah yet? ;)

Thanks for dropping by today and letting me know about your own post. Reading this was like breathing a big sigh of relief to know that I am not totally screwed in the head and that I have indeed signed up for the right adventure.

Eternal thanks for reminding me of that - I needed it today!

		<description>What a terrific and *useful* post. I so appreciate your candor and your willingness to be vulnerable and human to make the point and share the lesson.

Flowing with stuff when it gets hard is ... well, hard. But remembering that the theory isn&#039;t always necessarily relevant to the situation: absolutely priceless.

Thanks for that smart, thoughtful, helpful reminder! And I think you&#039;ve earned a nap or two too ...

		<description>Hello Pam!

Great post - I loved every word! I remember telling myself when I first started my business that I would never have people work for me because I wanted to do it all myself... When I think back to THAT thought, I laugh. There&#039;s just no way one can grow without some help!

So yes, it is neat to look back on the things you thought were going to hold true forever and find out that things change.

Sincerely,

Erin Blaskie
